EVIDENCE
OF GOD FROM SCIENCE
In this article, I’ll be showing
you facts from a broad array of different kinds of science. They will
demonstrate that an all-powerful supreme being of infinite intelligence
carefully provided more than sufficient proof that He exists.
“You
will seek me and find me when you seek with all your heart.” –Jeremiah 29:13
“Science
without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.” – Albert Einstein
The above quotes are from two
different and mostly contradictory sources, one from the biblical book of
Jeremiah and the other from a world renowned and famous scientist and inventor.
Scientists for centuries have challenged the church dogma and most clergy are
no more tolerant of scientists. But now theology and science are entering into
a new relationship says physicist turned theologian, Robert John Russell who
founded the centre for theology and natural sciences at the graduate
theological union in Berkeley.
Physics have stumbled on signs
that the cosmos is custom made for life and consciousness. If such unchanging
constants of nature – like the strength of gravity, the charge of an electron
and the mass of a proton were the tiniest bit different, the atom will not hold
together, stars will not burn and life would never have made an appearance. An
absolute proof of the existence of God from science can be seen from within the
scientific community itself. Let us consider the first law of thermodynamics
which states that “matter and energy can neither be created nor destroyed.”
This means there’s no new matter or energy coming into existence and there’s no
new matter or energy going out of existence. All who state that the universe
came into existence from nothing violate the first law of thermodynamics which
was established by the very scientific community. In summary, this law plainly
demonstrates that the universe and all matter and energy within it must have a
divine origin – a specific moment in which it was created by someone who is an all-powerful
God.
Charles Townes who shared the
1964 Nobel Prize in Physics for discovering the principles of laser stated thus
“many have a feeling that somehow intelligence is involved in the laws of the
universe.” A sizeable number of scientists have come to realize that one cannot
understand God without understanding the works of his hand. A Jewish Scholar
once pronounced that he doesn’t think that by studying science one will be
forced to conclude that there must be God, But if one have already found God,
then that individual can say from understanding science. “Ah, I see what God
has done in the world.”
The arguments therefore of
quantum physics shows a design which did not come into reality by chance, and
the fact that science believe that there is evidence that the universe began
and the logic that everything that began has a cause points also to an
intelligent creator.
Another proof of God from science
can be seen in our clocks and watches. In 1967, scientists built an atomic
clock that uses cesium 133 atoms because it oscillates (vibrates) at the rate
of 9,192,631,770 times per second. This clock is believed to be inaccurate
within one second every 30 million years. Cesium 133 atoms never vary a single
vibration, they are steady, constant, and reliable. It cannot be an accident of
nature that just happens to always turn out exactly the same. God had to design
the complexity and reliability of these atoms. No honest mind can think
otherwise.
In conclusion, we have considered
God’s power and intelligence, but none of these tells us much about the
character of God. The prologue of the Gospel of John concludes, “No one has
ever seen God, he who is at the father’s side, he has made Him known” (John
1:18). There is no other claim in the Universe like that, no other religion
offers anything like it; the sublime claim that the creator of the universe has
entered his own creation. In the same John 1:18, one can infer that the creator
of the universe, which has been a constant study for atheists, scientists and
all intelligent being was made known by His son, Jesus Christ. Therefore,
everybody that is seeking to understand the universe with all his heart is in
reality, seeking to know God (Jeremiah 25:13).
